Empowering homeopaths – building bridges
Sue Craven, Sally Hughes, Caroline Jurdon,
Friday 4th July 11.00 – 5.00, London
Responding to requests from members this CPD day brings together three homeopaths with longstanding experience of working within the NHS and voluntary sectors to share their learning and insights.
After fifteen years in the social care field, Sue has worked full time as a homeopath since 2002. Her passion has been to provide clinics in community based organisations for people who would not usually be able to access homeopathy. Sue will discuss the issues that arise when working with people with complex needs, who are, for example, homeless, possibly addicted to drugs or alcohol and may have underlying mental health issues.
Caroline has a busy full-time practice in Brighton, part of which involves making homeopathy more widely available to those who do not normally access it. In an interactive session Caroline will describe how she has raised funds for small community projects and participants will have the opportunity to explore aspects of planning their own project.
Sally will review her current role as a Complementary Coordinator and homeopath in an NHS integrated medicine cancer service, and its development over the last 9 years. ~She will discuss possible routes into working in the NHS and review approaches and tools to support homeopaths in setting up a new service.
