Date(s) - 08/11/2014
10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Friends Meeting House
Kate was a nurse, midwife and health visitor before re-training as a homeopath 30 years ago. She has worked extensively with children in the UK and Australia, setting up free clinics for children and local communities. In Australia she worked with the Aboriginal community and most recently she went to Kenya to set up free clinics and barefoot doctor workshops for a local community in Kisumu near Lake Victoria. Before leaving for Australia in 2002 she taught and examined at the College of Homeopathy and in Australia she held various offices within the Australian Homeopathic Association.
In this workshop Kate will cover prescribing for children in acute situations, such as childhood illnesses and reaction to vaccinations, as well as longer term treatment, including prescribing for children on medication e.g. chemotherapy and steroids. Kate will also discuss her work with dying children and liaison with other health care professionals such as doctors and social workers.
