Homeopaths joined in the summer sport madness with nationwide awareness raising events taking place during the annual Homeopathy Awareness Week.
In June, Society members embraced the popular sporting 2012 campaign ‘Homeopathy – giving health a sporting chance’ and pitched up at a wide range of venues including festivals, local markets, health food stores, sports halls and clubs.
The Society worked in partnership with sponsor Nelsons to supply Society members with free promotional leaflets and posters to publicise their events in the local community.
The national media campaign focused on the use of homeopathic remedies by ex-Olympians and included coverage in Mail On Sunday, BBC London radio, OK!, Woman’s Own, My Weekly, Mayfair Times, Mayfair Magazine, Natural Health & Beauty, Natural Lifestyle, Woman & Home, Time Out, Yahoo, Zest, Yoga and Health.
The Nelsons Pharmacy bus went on tour around London visiting all major publishing houses and newspapers, giving journalists homeopathic consultations and Pharmacy goody bags. The Nelsons bus also parked up on Duke Street/Oxford Street and invited members of the public to have mini consultations with the on-board practitioner. The bus also attracted a lot of attention from the general public who took photos of the converted ambulance and asked lots of questions about homeopathy throughout awareness week.
Kick start the autumn and make a date for September 29 and 30 with international teacher and profession leader Louis Klein FSHom, who will be presenting “Advanced Homeopathic Prescribing – the second and third prescription and long term follow up.”
You could win a free place – all two-day bookings will automatically be entered into a free prize draw. Thanks to sponsor Nelsons, two members will win back the full cost of a two-day seminar ticket.
Taking place at the School of Pharmacy in London, the weekend offers a great opportunity to catch up with Louis, friends and colleagues during the breaks in the exhibition suite and complimentary drinks reception.
Louis will focus on long-term practice and keeping those cases which are lost after initial success. Using more than 30 years of continuous practice as a backdrop, Louis will take homeopaths on a journey through the second and third prescriptions of long term cases, unravelling problems which often make these prescriptions more challenging than the first. Some of the cases presented include over 20 years of careful follow up.
The free ticket draw will take place at the drinks reception on Saturday evening courtesy of sponsor Helios, and later in the evening the Homeopathy Action Trust is hosting a gala dinner – diners will be provided with a pre-dinner drink, a three course meal and a complimentary glass of wine, as well as entertainment supporting the Trust’s work of uniting patients, practitioners and students of homeopathy.
The party takes place in the refectory of the School of Pharmacy, from 7pm until 11pm. At £45 per person, numbers are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment on the Trust’s website at click here We look forward to seeing you there!
