We are delighted to welcome teacher and author Dr Jonathan Hardy to our 2026 Winter Workshop.
Jonathan is a much-loved and highly respected teacher who, over the years, has presented at many Society conferences, workshops, seminars and book clubs.
During the Winter Workshop, Jonathan will explore imponderable remedies, which he describes as
“energetic medicine for twenty first century disease.”
We look forward to welcoming Jonathan and sharing what promises to be a fascinating and thought provoking workshop.
About the workshop
Samuel Hahnemann pioneered the use of Imponderable remedies. He carried out provings of the North and South poles of the magnet. Yet how many of us practising homeopathy two centuries later really know these remedies?
Three years ago, Jonathan had only ever seen a handful of Imponderable cases: four cases of Positronium. However, since then he has been fortunate to see many cases of Electricity, Sunshine, Starlight, Moonlight, Spectrum, Black Hole, various Volcanos and more than ten cases of different Magnet remedies. It has been an exciting and humbling process of discovery and profound healings.
Many people needing an Imponderable remedy are amongst our most deeply psychologically disturbed patients. Often there will have been unimaginable trauma early in life: loss of one or both parents in terrible accidents; the severest of abuse; total abandonment. The result is a profoundly dissociated state – escaping into an immaterial state of consciousness is the only way they could bear such trauma. The feeling of being just energy, of being non-material, can be very frightening – there can be a lack of boundaries and a feeling of having no body, or even no existence at all.
They can talk about the Universe, infinity, enormous distances and vast periods of time.
Many patients needing an Imponderable remedy are healers, especially homeopaths.
In spite of carrying such deep inner wounds these patients are often strong, dynamic and successful people. They talk of energy and power. Yet they do not seek to dominate. They are humanitarians and want to serve others.
Jonathan’s presentation will use video cases to illustrate some of the main characteristics of the remedy group and the specific indications of some individual remedies. He hopes it is of interest and that it may help others to discover more of these exciting and powerful medicines.

About Jonathan
Jonathan studied Zoology at Oxford University and obtained an Honours degree in 1978. He then studied Medicine at Southampton University and qualified in 1984. He became a member of the Faculty of Homeopathy in 1988 and since then has worked fulltime as a Homeopathic doctor.
He practises classical Homeopathy, combining the time-tested traditional techniques with the exciting new methods developed by the well-known Homeopathic teachers of the last twenty-five years.
In particular Jonathan values the systematic approach to case taking and analysis employing knowledge of the themes, sensations and pathologies which relate to the different kingdoms, families and remedy groups.
